Cancers are usually named using -carcinoma, -sarcoma or -blastoma as a suffix, with the Latin or Greek word for the organ or tissue of origin as the root. For example, cancers of the liver parenchyma arising from malignant epithelial cells are called hepatocarcinoma, while a malignancy arising from primitive liver precursor cells is called a hepatoblastoma and cancer arising from fat cells is called a liposarcoma.

For some common cancers, the English organ name is used. For example, the most common type of breast cancer is called ductal carcinoma of the breast. Here, the adjective ductal refers to the appearance of cancer under the microscope, which suggests that it has originated in the milk ducts.

Types of Cancer

Types of Cancer

Types of Cancer

Cancers are classified by the type of cell that the tumour cells resemble and is therefore presumed to be the origin of the tumour. These types include:

Carcinoma: Cancers derived from epithelial cells. This group includes many of the most common cancers and include nearly all those in the breast, prostate, lung, pancreas and colon.

Sarcoma: Cancers arising from connective tissue (i.e. bone, cartilage, fat, nerve), each of which develops from cells originating in mesenchymal cells outside the bone marrow.

Lymphoma and leukaemia: These two classes arise from hematopoietic (blood-forming) cells that leave the marrow and tend to mature in the lymph nodes and blood, respectively.[106]

Germ cell tumour: Cancers derived from pluripotent cells, most often presenting in the testicle or the ovary (seminoma and dysgerminoma, respectively).

Blastoma: Cancers derived from immature “precursor” cells or embryonic tissue.

Benign tumours (which are not cancers) are named using -oma as a suffix with the organ name as the root. For example, a benign tumour of smooth muscle cells is called a leiomyoma (the common name of this frequently occurring benign tumour in the uterus is fibroid). Confusingly, some types of cancer use the -noma suffix, examples including melanoma and seminoma.

Some types of cancer are named for the size and shape of the cells under a microscope, such as giant cell carcinoma, spindle cell carcinoma and small-cell carcinoma.

Cancer treatments

Cancer Treatments

Cancer Treatments

Cancer treatments may be used as follows:

Primary Therapy

The aim of a primary treatment is to eliminate cancer from your body entirely or destroy all the cancer cells.

Any treatment for cancer may be used as a primary treatment but the most common primary treatment for cancer is surgery. If your cancer is particularly sensitive to radiation therapy or chemotherapy, you may receive one of those therapies as your primary treatment.

Adjuvant treatment

The purpose of adjuvant therapy is to destroy any cancer cells that might remain after primary therapy to minimize the risk of the cancer returning.

It can be used as an adjuvant therapy for any cancer treatment. Popular adjuvant therapies include chemotherapy, and hormone therapy.

Neoadjuvant therapy is similar but therapies are used before primary therapy to make the primary therapy simpler or more effective.

Palliative treatment

They can help alleviate side effects of the treatment or cancer-caused symptoms themselves. The symptoms can be treated with surgery , radiation, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Some medicines can alleviate symptoms such as pain and shortness of breath.

Palliative treatment can be used at the same time as other treatments intended to cure your cancer.

Treatment options

Treatment options

Treatment options

Cancer treatment options include:

  • Surgery. The goal of surgery is to remove cancer or as much of cancer as possible.
  • Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy uses drugs to kill cancer cells.
  • Targeted drug therapy. Targeted drug therapy focuses on unique mutations that enable them to live inside cancer cells.
  • Clinical trials. Clinical trials are studies to investigate new ways of treating cancer. Thousands of cancer clinical trials are underway.

Radiation treatment

Radiation therapy uses strong radiation beams to destroy cancer cells, such as X-rays or protons. Radiation care may come from a machine outside your body (external radiation from the beam), or maybe put within your body (brachytherapy).

Transplant bone marrow

Your bone marrow is the substance that creates the blood cells from blood stem cells within your bones. A bone marrow transplant, also knowns as a stem cell transplant, can use your own bone marrow stem cells or those from a donor.

A bone marrow transplant allows your doctor to use higher doses of chemotherapy to treat your cancer. It may also be used to replace diseased bone marrow.

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy, also called biological therapy, uses the immune response in the body to fight cancer. Cancer will live unnoticed in your body since it is not recognized as an intruder by your immune system. Immunotherapy will help “see” cancer through the immune system and fight it.

Hormone care

Some forms of cancer are being fuelled by hormones in your body. Examples include breast cancer and prostate cancer. Removing those hormones from the body or blocking their effects may cause the cancer cells to stop growing.

Cryotherapy or Cryoablation

This therapy is killing cold cancer cells. A thin, wand like needle (cryoprobe) is inserted through the skin, directly into the cancer tumour, during cryoablation. To freeze the tissue a gas is injected into the cryoprobe. Then it is allowed the tissue to thaw. The freezing and thawing process is repeated several times during the same treatment session in order to kill the cancer cells.

Radiofrequency ablation

This treatment uses electrical energy to heat cancer cells, causing them to die. During radiofrequency ablation, a doctor guides a thin needle through the skin or through an incision and into the cancer tissue. High-frequency energy passes through the needle and causes the surrounding tissue to heat up, killing the nearby cells.

Other treatments may be available to you, depending on your type of cancer.

Conclusion

Cancer is a group of diseases that involve abnormal cell growth and can invade or spread to other parts of the body. This contrast with benign, not growing tumours. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, irregular bleeding, excessive cough, unexplained weight loss and bowel movement changes. While those symptoms may suggest cancer, they may have other causes as well. There are over 100 types of cancer, that can affect humans.

Fighting cancer is a long journey and your loved ones need your support in that. Shower them with love, Cancer gifts and a lot of Cancer care in this fight.

I wish them good health and a long life ahead.

Era of Romanticism: The Golden Period of Art https://bookmypainting.com/blog/romanticism/ https://bookmypainting.com/blog/romanticism/#respond Tue, 01 Sep 2020 11:08:32 +0000 https://bookmypainting.com/?p=158089

ERA OF ROMANTICISM

INTRODUCTION

I’AMOUR !! AMOUR!!

The language of LOVE in the 18th Century – ROMANTICISM.

The Romantic Era was an artistic ,literary, musical and intellectual movement that originated in Europe. Romanticism laid emphasis on warmth and originality as well as praises of all the past and nature.

The painter , poet, composer – invent, create, self-express their own unique, inner vision. It justifies the existence of creativity.

C:\Users\dell\Desktop\220px-John_William_Waterhouse_-_The_Lady_of_Shalott_-_Google_Art_Project.jpg

The era of Romanticism emphasized intense emotion as an authentic source of aesthetic experience. In the remarks of German painter Caspar David Friedrich, romantics is an emotion summed as “ the artists feeling in law”.

CONTEXT

Romanceand “Romanesque”, has a complicated history.

To say, the word Romanticism, is to say modern art – that is, intimacy, spirituality, color, aspiration towards the infinite, expressed by every means available to the arts.

HISTORY

Approximately, in the period from 1800 to 1890 there blew a wind of love. Secretly, dropping traces of love.

Romanticism is a French word derived from “Romance”.

Romanticism was strongly associated to nationalism in many countries. It was fueled by the French Revolution. That was a reaction to the scientific rationalism and classicism of the Age of Enlightenment.

C:\Users\dell\Desktop\images.jpg

It emphasized on the inner reflections as a prerequisite for improving the society. The end of the Romantic era is marked in some areas by a new style, which affected literature, especially the novel and drama, painting, and even music.

AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT

“Whether we sleep or wake, the vast machinery of the universe still goes on.”
― Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason

Also, known as the Age of Reason, was an intellectual and philosophical movement in the 17th and 18th centuries.

It paved reason over superstitions and science over blind faith. The basic idea was to reason the primary source of power and purity. Favoring the ideals like liberty, progress, tolerance and constitutional government.

The philosphers and scientists continued paving ideas through meetings at salons, coffee houses , and in printed books ,journals and pamphlets.

C:\Users\dell\Desktop\Age-of-Enlightenment-The-Age-of-Reason.jpg

The Age of Reason is seen as the beginning of modern depravity. It was only by the age of reason that man discovered God.

THE HISTORY OF L’AMOUR

LUF!! LUFU!! LUBA !!

C:\Users\dell\Desktop\lovers.jpg

The languages may be different, but the emotions are the same. Love is also of 4 types :

  • EROS – The word stems from the Greek word “erotas”, which translates to “intimate love”. Passionate Love.
  • PHILIA – It was about showing loyalty, giving sacrifice, showing appreciation, and other more “noble” forms of love not involving sex. Brotherly Love.
  • STORAGE – love of parents for children.
  • AGAPE – In modern times , it is the universal love. Love of Mankind

But,the love of the 18th century was Blind like Cupid. AMOR (Love).

Who hasn’t made some embarrassing error in the realm of love?

Misinterpreting a potential lover’s intentions can be humiliating, painful – even fatal. According to the wisdom of the 1770s, if we want to win someone’s heart, we should all be paying particular attention to the language of love.

Ridiculous Phrases !!

I will love you eternally : My flames will be eternal.

I am not the dupe of these compliments: I hate praise.

C:\Users\dell\Desktop\Happy_Lovers.jpg

These are only traps for more of it; nor is there any danger of overdoing it with them.

How useless is that ?

And it makes sense, doesn’t it?

After all, the love we feel for our family is definitely not the same love we feel (er, or felt) for our first serious romantic partner, or the love we feel for our pet—or even the love we feel for Chipotle burritos.

GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE

Well , building tombs ,cathedrals and and other artistic styles has been a token for the loved ones by many.

The architectural styles of this period were designed to evoke an emotional reaction , either respect for tradition or nostalgia for a bucolic past.

The Palais Garnier, the Paris opera house designed by Charles Garnier was a highly romantic and diverse combination of artistic styles. C:\Users\dell\Desktop\405px-PhotoB_062.jpg

ARTS VISUELS

Be drawn to the visual arts for it can expand your imagination.” – Barbara Januszkiewicz

Romanticism first showed itself in landscape painting. Landscapes ,seascapes, large paintings, and contemporary settings that turned the work into history painting.

The various group of artists also expressed feelings that verged on the mystical many largely abandoning classical drawing and proportions.

In France, historical painting idealized in the medieval and Renaissance themes was known as the style Troubadour, a term with no equivalent for other countries, though the same trends occurred there.

But,the extent to which he was,Romantic is a complex question.

Sculptures, displayed delicate and skilled handling of clay. It remained sealed to romanticism, probably for technical reasons. As the most prestigious material marble, does not lend itself to expansive motions.

Literary, Romanticism had its equivalnce in the American visual arts, most especially in the joy of an untamed American landscape.

Looking at the paintings, was a huge part, of finding ways in the lush world of the 18th century.

Paint and Draw. Let the creativity flow.

MUSIQUE

It’s probably the MUSIC that belongs to our time. Rhythm and Harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul.

The German nature, generally can be described as, “ the deep and diverse action of romanticism” on German musicians.

Music, leads into the depth of the spiritual world , with elements of fear, sorrow and depth.

Beethoven’s music, conveyed a sense of “monstrous and immeasurable”, with the pain of an endless longing that “will burst in a fully clear harmony of all the passions”.

In the contemporary music culture, the romantic musicians followed a public career depending on sensitive middle-class audiences.

Towards the end of the 19th century, the newly emergent discipline of musicology – a product of the age – attempted a more scientific period of the music history.

GALERIE

ROMANTIC AUTHORS

When you love something, it loves you back in whatever way it has to love. —John Knowles, A Separate Peace.

Mournful ,yet grand is the destiny of the artists.

The Romantic authors had their very own language of love. The beautiful words of Love. That every couple exchanged between them.

In love, there are two things – bodies and words.

EN CONCLUSION

Romanticism defies simple categorization. As the poet and critic Charles Baudelaire wrote in 1846, “Romanticism is precisely situated neither in choice of subject nor in exact truth, but in a way of feeling.”

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in the United States, Canada, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia on different dates. This began as a day of thanksgiving and sacrifice for the blessing of the harvest and the previous year. Throughout Germany and Japan similarly named festival holidays to occur.

Thanksgiving is celebrated in Canada on the second Monday of October and in the United States and Brazil on the fourth Thursday of November and in other countries approximately the same time of the year. While Thanksgiving has deep origins in religious and cultural practices, it was also observed as a secular holiday for a long time.

What are Thanksgiving Baskets?

One of the most popular decorations for Thanksgiving is the cornucopia, a horn-shaped Thanksgiving basket filled with fruits, vegetables, nuts, and flowers. It is a symbol of abundant harvest for which the Pilgrims were giving thanks during the first Thanksgiving.

Cornucopia is an ancient term, with mythological roots. The most widely quoted story concerns the Greek god Zeus, who is said to have been nursed by a goat, Amalthea. He played too aggressively with her one day and cut one of her horns off. Her horn became a symbol for strength and nourishment (Zeus) (Amalthea).

Another myth that is attributed to the origins of cornucopia told about the Greek demi-god Herakles (Hercules in Roman mythology) wrestling with the river god, Achelous, who was often portrayed as horned. Herakles, famed for his might, cut off one of the horns of Achelous. Herakles held the bell and filled it with fruits and flowers to give Deianira, his betrothed, as a wedding gift.

Irrespective of whose horn the stories influenced, the horn became an attribute of many Greek and Roman deities that depicted abundance and harvest. This was associated most closely with the goddess Fortuna. It was packed with harvest fruits and became the Horn of Plenty.

  • Gift Baskets Are Safe

While Gift Baskets are proven to make the BEST business gift, they’re not the only option. But PLEASE DO NOT SEND GIFT CARDS as a business gift. On top of that, most Corporate Gifting Policies prohibit employees from accepting gift cards. In fact, most business gifting policies specifically call out gift baskets as being an acceptable item to receive and many gifting policies specifically prohibit gift cards from being accepted.

  • Gift Baskets Incorporate Your Brand Tastefully

Great Corporate Business Gifts should incorporate your brand and company but not at the detriment of the gift itself. Because most gift baskets have large item counts, you can get really creative on how you incorporate your brand into the gift. From branded gift ribbon or wrapping to branded containers, there are multiple ways you can brand items without diminishing the value of the gift.

  • Gift Baskets Offer Endless Combinations

Keeping your business holiday gift fresh year after year is important. Thankfully, there are countless ways to configure a gift basket to keep the gift fun, interesting, and exciting year after year. Changing the container from a basket to a gift tower or including keepsake items like a branded coffee tumbler or water bottle are great ways to provide variety and delight your customers and employees.

  • Gift Baskets Offer High Perceived Value and Fit Any Budget

Any well-constructed gift basket will provide great presentation value. When done right, a gift basket will be aesthetically pleasing, offer a wide variety of items that people like, offer high perceived value, and fit within your budget.

  • Buying Gift Baskets is Easy

Holiday time is typically a busy season for everyone. Most people don’t have days or weeks available to spend on planning and purchasing holiday business gifts. Many companies have hundreds of baskets to choose from and can handle all of the detail work for you.  Just provide your budget, recipient list and they can take care of everything else. The process couldn’t be easier.

How to build the perfect gift basket?

How to make the Perfect Thanksgiving Basket?

How to make the Perfect Thanksgiving Basket?

Gift-giving on Thanksgiving has long been a favorite subject for studies on human behavior, with psychologists, anthropologists, economists, and marketers all weighing in. They have found that giving gifts is a surprisingly complex and important part of human interaction, helping to define relationships and strengthen bonds with family and friends.

Indeed, psychologists say it is often the giver, rather than the recipient, who reaps the biggest psychological gains from a gift. Frustrated by crowds, traffic, and commercialism, people can be tempted at this time of year to opt-out of gift-giving altogether. A 2005 survey showed that four out of five Americans think the holidays are too materialistic, according to the Center for a New American Dream, which promotes responsible consumption.

But while it’s reasonable to cut back on spending during the holidays, psychologists say that banning the gift exchange with loved ones is not the best solution. People who refuse to accept or exchange gifts during the holidays, these experts say, may be missing out on an important connection with family and friends.

Step 1: Personalize It

A personalized Thanksgiving basket would be guaranteed to be loved. One of the key reasons everyone would love to choose a personalized gift is to let that personal connection show through. A customized gift helps individuals to materialize their relationships and to share a special bond with someone that you love. Once you have chosen your theme, the Thanksgiving basket is reasonably easy and fast to put together.

Some ideas to fill the Thanksgiving basket include:

  1. Drinks: Drinks can make ideal gifts, provided you choose the right drink and present it well. They are in resonance with the festive vibe! For example seasonal beer, wine, apple cider, champagne, coffee, tea, etc.
  2. Candies: Gift a sweet surprise! Add sweetness to your relationship, with exotic, artisanal candies and chocolates. For example chocolates, caramels, apple candies, candy corn.
  3. Decorations: Gift fall-themed decor for the dinner table or home. Turn the festive vibes up!
  4. Food: cheese, fruits, crackers, nuts, homemade cranberry jelly, fresh cookies, cake. Everyone loves to get food, right?
  5. Natural beauty products:  bath salt, face masks, soaps. Everyone loves a relaxing, pampering bath!
  6. Candles: they are necessities for Thanksgiving and other upcoming holidays. Who does not like a good scented candle?
  7. Gift cards: gift cards are always appreciated. Write them a personalized note, and strengthen your relationship.

Step 2: Purchase The Supplies:

Set the buying budget and take a few days to purchase all the required supplies and decorations. Make sure to get all the art and craft supplies, and the gift items, as well.

Step 3: Choose the right Container

Look out for an interesting container that will suit your gifts. Check out discount shops and thrift stores. You may go traditional, an buy a cornucopia, or you may get some fancy gift Thanksgiving basket.

Step 4: Place your Gifts inside

Fill the Thanksgiving basket with your gifts. Make sure to balance the weight as you fill it. Put the gifts in such a position, so that it looks good too.

Step 5: The Wrap Up & Bow

Give style to your Thanksgiving Basket! Fill the Thanksgiving basket holes with sunflowers (or any other flowers), leaves, pumpkins, acorns, and other artificial fall-themed plants. Just make it very neat, pretty, and presentable! Wrap the whole Thanksgiving basket in a transparent bag. Tie it closed with a big, fairly thick bow. Attach a heartwarming message on a tag.

Different kinds of Thanksgiving baskets:

Wine Gift Thanksgiving Basket

Wine is always a great gifting option, especially during the holidays. A bottle of wine is the perfect gift for almost any occasion. One good way to narrow down your choice is by thinking about the occasion you are buying for — or by thinking about the preferences of the recipient of the gift.

Champagne Gift Thanksgiving Basket:

Choosing the perfect Champagne can be tricky especially if you have no idea about the standards of good sparkling wine, so here is a gift guide on how to choose the perfect bottle of Champagne to gift.

Sparkling wine is probably one of the best gift ideas if you want to make someone feel very special. Champagne screams exceptional, luxurious, and sophisticated which is why it is a great celebratory gift.

Fruit Gift Thanksgiving Basket

Gift a healthy and tasty treat, with exotic fruits. A variety of gift baskets exist: some contain fruit; while others might contain dry or canned foods such as tea, crackers and jam; or the basket might include a combination of fruit and dried good items. Gourmet gift baskets typically include exotic fruit, and often include quality cheese and wine, as well as other non food items.

Chocolate and Sweet Gift Baskets:

Chocolate is the most versatile food substance in the history of the universe.

The amount of combinations with chocolate is endless. You can mix chilli and chocolate, sea salt and chocolate, tea and chocolate, honeycomb and chocolate. Just check out some of the varieties that Love Cocoa has. You can do some truly extraordinary things with chocolate.

Chocolate’s versatility means that basically everyone is bound to love at least one variety of chocolate. There is always something for everyone. This is why people think chocolates are a good idea for any celebration. If you get your loved ones a chocolate gift box, you can not go wrong!

Coffee and Tea Gift Thanksgiving Baskets:

Gift them exotic, premium coffee and tea collections, skincare, essential oils, etc. An exquisite assortment of expertly curated garden fresh teas and perfectly roasted coffee. The teas are perfect for tea and chai lovers and are valued for the abundance of antioxidants present in them.

These assorted teas and coffee roasts, packed in an elegant handcrafted cardboard gift box brings a touch of luxury to any occasion.

Conclusion

If you are going to a lavish Thanksgiving dinner with your family or a casual Friendsgiving feast (or some sort of celebration in between!), you never want to turn up empty-handed — especially when you know your host has been cooking and planning for guests all day long.

Little touches, such as seasonal wine labels and personalized tags, can upgrade a casual gift, while items like hand-stamped utensils and autumnal cookware work for a fancy occasion.

So if you can not be for this year’s holiday with your loved ones, sending a gift is a perfect way to tell them you’re thinking of them — so grateful for it.

Charcoal drawing is one of the art mediums used by the artist to gain natural art. We are going to look for good reasons to buy a charcoal drawing. Being an old school romantic is what everyone wants nowadays in any artistic field and when it comes to drawing why to hold back for even one drawing. It’s time to take a step ahead towards being an old school and choose charcoal drawing for obvious reasons.

Artist’ charcoal is made up of finely ground organic material which is held together by a gum or wax or it can even be held together by eliminating the oxygen during the production process. It is a dry art medium.

Why Charcoal is so special?

Why Charcoal is so special?

Why Charcoal is so special?

The reason behind why the artist chose charcoal drawing is one of its versatility. It brings out the rough textures whose marks are less permanent than other visual arts. These charcoal lines are vulnerable to leave any marks on paper and they draw lines that are either intensely dark or light hence, which is easy to erase. We can apply this form of drawing on almost any surface from smooth to coarse. With charcoal drawing also comes fixation to prevent erasing or rubbing off of charcoal clouds of dust.

The method to produce artists’ charcoal is similar to producing gunpowder and cooking fuel. The type of wooden material and the method of preparation gives us a variety of types of charcoal and textures to be produced. So, this is also a reason to buy a charcoal drawing.

Types Of Charcoal For Art

As an art medium, there are various types and uses of charcoal but the main ones are the vine, willow, compressed, and charcoal pencils.

Vine Charcoal

Vine charcoal is made up of burning grapevines in a kiln without air. It is a long and thin charcoal stick.

Willow Charcoal

It is a product form by burning willow stick in a kiln without air. It is a long and thin charcoal stick.

The willow and vine properties of charcoal which involve removable characteristics which are liked by the artists for making a base for the painting or preliminary sketches. The detailed images cannot be drawn out with such charcoals.

Compressed Charcoal

It is also referred to as a charcoal stick and is shaped into a block or stick. Hardness defines the intensity of the shade. The quantity of wax or gum binders used during the production process affects hardness. Softer producing intensely dark markings while the firmer produce light markings.

Charcoal Pencils

This consists of compressed charcoal which is enclosed in a jacket of wood. It is designed in a similar way to graphite pencils. They maintain most of the properties of charcoal which are often used for fine and crisp detailing drawings.

During the 19th century, other types of charcoal artists’ charcoal were developed such as charcoal crayons and were used by caricaturists. No other form of charcoal is charcoal powders which are used to create patterns and pouncing which is a transferring method of a pattern from one surface to another.

Depending upon the proportion of ingredients we are mixing we have wide variations in artists’ charcoal.

A composition like the compressed charcoal from burned birch, lamp black pigment, clay, and a little quantity of ultramarine. The longer we take the mixture to be heated, the softer it becomes.

Now considering these charcoal types of an art medium we are going to look for good reasons to buy the charcoal drawing.

1- Have Been In Use Since Ages:

Charcoal drawing being an old school is such an important form of artist’s medium to make art. Charcoal drawing has been in use for more than thousands of years like we all are familiar with famous ancient cave drawings. We can see these cave drawings around all over the world from Europe to Australia and Southeast Asia.

The charcoal drawing is drawn in these walls of the cave. For binders, different types of earth materials and bones were used and were mixed with the saliva or animal fat so that these drawings stuck to the cave wall. So, it is considered one of the good reasons to buy a charcoal drawing.

The reasons behind these drawings are still unknown to us, we don’t know whether these drawings carry some rituals meaning or just they have been used for as a decorative item. Whatever the reason it may carry with itself it is good for us that only after ten thousand years later we do admire those charcoal drawing on the cave walls. The most famous of all cave drawings that we know are the drawings of rhinos and horses that came into existence in the Cave in France.

These are the European Cave Drawing made over thirty thousand years back.

2- Nature’s Gift:

Another thing that is good about charcoal drawing is that it is a gift of nature and is safe for our health and environment. For using charcoal as a drawing material it is used in its purest form that is made from the branches of the willow tree or the sections of grapevines. These trees are burnt to an appropriate degree of hardness, thus eliminating the oxygen inside the wood.

One of the important points that you have to be careful about charcoal drawing is that when drawing with charcoal it can produce dust. So, to be very careful about it you should not blow off the dust with your mouth because in that process you can inhale too. Instead of doing this, you can simply tap on the back of the paper or use a soft brush or rag to wipe out the dust.

3- Efficient In Price:

Efficient in Price (reasons to buy charcoal drawing)

Efficient in Price

To draw with charcoal it’s not necessary to hold any fancy tools or any expensive tools. Charcoal is not expensive at all like we can buy a pack of thirty Willow charcoal sticks for less than 5 dollars. To your charcoal stick add kneaded eraser and knife to sharpen your equipment. This is a great reason to buy a charcoal drawing. Book My Painting provides various budget-friendly options to buy from.

4- Learning Medium:

With charcoal drawing, we can learn how to work with tonal values. The total value or simply value is the term used in the art which means how light or dark something is. If the tone of the object is light, it appears to be closer and if the tone is dark, it appears to be darker.

Tonal Value is one of the most fundamental concepts in visual arts because this can be used to create depth or a 3-dimensional effect. Example- the tip of the nose is usually made light because it is sticking out. Charcoal is a great way to learn how the tonal values work because charcoal doesn’t have any color of its own. It is black most of the time and even comes out grey sometimes. And, the learning medium is among good reasons to buy the charcoal drawing.

5- Versatility

We can use different methods to create and get different looks with charcoal drawings.

Example- we can use Willow and Vine charcoal stick flat on the side to create broader strokes or we can use charcoal pencils to make thinner lines. We can make smooth charcoal with a rag and can also create a lot of many types of textures. We can combine all these with tools like erasers, brushes, and rags and different types of papers to bring out different and cool textures all based upon your imagination. Making it good reasons to buy a charcoal drawing.

6- It’s All About Look:

Handmade Charcoal Portrait

Nothing gives precious look to the picture drawn on the canvas more than choosing a charcoal form of drawing.

Though being an old school this form of art somehow manages to get a rich look from its textures.

Charcoal pencils or charcoals are nothing less than liquid pencil color drawings which creates paint-like texture. The look and feel for this are completely different. This charcoal drawing gives a natural feel to the viewers. Natural look and feel make it a good reasons to buy the charcoal drawing.

7- Mix And Match:

For a mix-match, we can mix graphite and charcoal to bring out the texture from the picture. For volume drawings and bold strokes drawing charcoal would be the best form for drawing pictures. Examples are wood, mountains, the bark of a tree, hair, fur, shadow, and many more.

8- Vulnerable:

Hand-drawn Charcoal Portrait

Hand-drawn Charcoal Portrait

Charcoal drawing being one of the most famous forms of art still is vulnerable to permanent marks on paper.

Charcoal pencils never leave permanent stain marks on the paper. They are vulnerable and can be easily removable with erasers, rag or even a slice of bed could do it. Again, making it among reasons to buy the charcoal drawing.

9- Mess-Free:

Like other forms of art such as watercolor drawings, liquid sketch pen drawings, oil painting, and pastel painting this charcoal drawing is much mess-free than the other ones listed above. Like while watercolor drawing we get all out messy after completing it or when we are in the midway to complete it but there is nothing like in the case of charcoal drawing. This is a form of dry art. Again, making it among reasons to buy the charcoal drawing.

10- Movable

It’s easy to carry away with you for example on vacation or a trip with you or somewhere you would love to draw. You don’t need many tools to carry away with you and it is also lightweight. You only have to take canvas or any drawing paper, charcoal pencil or sticks, erasers, and knife for sharpening your tools. Since it is a dry form of art so unlike paint it doesn’t require any drying time. Again, making it among reasons to buy the charcoal drawing.

Conclusion

With all the reasons listed above for buying charcoal drawing, you can have a great look at the www.bookmypainting.com and you will get a lot of paintings to buy at an effective price. There are other forms of art that you can gift to your loved ones or can buy for your good like for decorative purposes.

Blood in Dog Stool: Causes, Diagnosis & Best Treatment (2020) https://bookmypainting.com/blog/blood-in-dog-stool/ https://bookmypainting.com/blog/blood-in-dog-stool/#respond Mon, 20 Apr 2020 01:44:44 +0000 https://bookmypainting.com/?p=156364

Now like normal human beings, dogs also get sick. And seeing blood in dog stools can be a frightening and panicky situation at first but you should immediately see a veterinarian to know the cause for it. While it may seem a little unpleasant, correctly observing and describing the appearance of the blood in dog stool helps determine the source and cause of the blood. There can be two things: either bright red or dark/black blood in dog stools. Now there are different causes for both of them.

Why Have a Dog?

Why Have a Dog?

Why Have a Dog?

They play many roles in our life as they keep us healthy both physically and mentally. A dog is a man’s best friend. They are loyal and trustworthy. Keeping a dog with you also helps in the way that they easily detect people doing suspicious activities and they instantly start barking when they see such a person entering your house so that you become conscious and aware.

Additionally, they keep us safe and aid those in need. If you’ve ever been to the hills or areas where you don’t know the path, you must’ve noticed that if there are dogs in those areas then they become the path leader and whenever you are in the possibility of any risk or difficulty they come to support you and stand beside you. They also support and help people who are blind, deaf or disabled, dogs do a lot for us humans.

Bright red blood in stools

Hematochezia is the medical term for bright red blood in dog stool. It is fresh blood, most likely from the lower intestines, and often from the colon or rectum. It can be mixed in the dog’s stools, or you can see a few droplets of blood as your dog defecated. Some causes of hematochezia include:

Parvovirus

It is a serious virus mostly found in puppies. Black-and-tan breeds, such as rottweilers, German shepherds, and Dobermans are mostly affected by parvo. The symptoms of this virus include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, and blood in dog stools. Since this disease is deadly, puppies suspected of having parvo should be seen by a vet immediately.

Parasites

They are the most common cause of blood in dog stools. The most common parasites that cause blood in dog stool are hookworms, whipworms, and roundworms. Besides blood appearing in your dog’s feces, other symptoms indicating your pet has worms include visible worms in vomit, in fur or around the dog’s rear. Other signs may include weakness, increased appetite, constant hunger, and weight loss. Protozoans such as coccidia can also be a cause of bloody stools. A veterinarian can identify the offending parasites and prescribe specific dewormers to kill these parasites and get rid of them.

Dietary Indiscretions

Overeating or dietary indiscretion may irritate a dog’s colon, causing diarrhea and bloody stools, which can also have mucus. When a dog eats something unusual it can disrupt the Gastrointestinal tract and cause mucus in the stool. If you are switching your dog’s food, do so gradually over the course of several days. A sudden diet change can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. Other dietary causes of blood in dog stool include eating spoiled foods and food intolerances or allergies. Mild cases resolve over time. More severe cases that are accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea may require supportive care, antibiotics, fluid therapy, and sometimes surgery to remove foreign material.

Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis

If your dog’s stool contains a lot of blood and mucus (often described as being raspberry jam-like), HGE may be suspected. Treatment includes supportive care, anti-nausea drugs, fluid therapy, and antibiotics. Affected dogs are very sick and can get dehydrated quickly so they need immediate care.

Rectal Injuries

It can be caused if your dog eats a sharp object which scrapes the lower intestine during digestion or elimination. Anal gland injuries and rectal polyps can also lead to bright red blood deposited on stools.

Stress

Alike people, stress can cause a dog’s bowels to leak excess fluid along with blood from inflammation. This is often referred to as stress colitis. The Reasons for stress may include moving to a new place, in addition to a new dog or family member to the household.

Dark Red or Black Blood in Stools

As discussed above this is the second kind of blood found in stools. Melena is the medical term for dark red or black/tarry stools. Since it is darker in color, it’s often harder to detect and differentiate. In these cases, the blood source originates higher up the intestinal tract so that by the time the stools are eliminated the blood is almost totally digested. The dog’s lungs, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, or upper small intestine may be the origin of blood. Some causes of melena include :

Use of NSAIDS

Your dog may develop ulcers if he is on aspirin or some type of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drugs like Rimadyl or aspirin. Stomach and intestinal ulcers can cause diarrhea and bleeding.

Blood Clotting Disorders

Some dogs that have clotting disorders may develop blood in dog stool.

Post-Surgery Complication

You should immediately call your vet if you notice black, tarry stools up to 72 hours after any recent surgery. This could indicate internal bleeding.

Tumors or cancer

Cancer of the GI tract can cause mucus in the stool. Treatment may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or palliative therapy. Many kinds of cancer can affect the digestive tract and unfortunately cause several issues including bloody diarrhea. Bleeding tumors or polyps, especially in older pets, can cause dark stools.

Ingestion of Blood

It might be the case that your pet may have licked a bloody wound,or he may have had a mouth injury or nose bleed that causes it to swallow blood.

Trauma

The bloody diarrhea can be a result if the dog has experienced some sort of injury or has surgery on the digestive tract.

Bowel Inflammation

Any type of inflammatory condition affecting the bowels can cause bloody diarrhea. It is a condition that results when your dog’s immune system turns against the lining of her gastrointestinal (GI) tract, causing an issue with the absorption of nutrients and, ability to digest food properly. This is a pathetic situation for your dog’s entire GI system, and can impact the stomach and upper small intestine, causing chronic vomiting, and/or the lower intestine, causing diarrhea.

Bacterial and Viral Infections: Various infections, such as Salmonella, E.Coli and, parvovirus can all cause bloody diarrhea.

Diagnosing Bloody Diarrhea in Dogs

Diagnosis of the Problem with your Dog (blood in dog stool)

Diagnosis of the Problem with your Dog

Bloody diarrhea is usually identified by visually inspecting the stool. Bright red blood is quite obvious to see in most stools but black, digested blood may be less apparent and difficult to differentiate. A fecal occult blood test is conducted that says whether or not blood is detected in the feces if digested blood or a very small amount of red blood is suspected.

The complete and underlying diagnosis of diarrhea requires a complete health history and physical examination and often some combination of diagnostics, which may include fecal examinations, blood work, a urinalysis, imaging (x-rays or ultrasound, for example), tissue biopsies, and more.

Depending on what was the cause of bloody diarrhea, treatments will vary. For foreign bodies and cancer, surgical intervention may be necessary, the vet may advise making dietary changes to increase fiber intake or reduce inflammation, and medications may be used to kill parasites, treat diseases, alleviate symptoms, and provide support. Fluids and blood products may be needed to overcome dehydration.

How to Prevent Bloody Diarrhea in Dogs?

The best way to prevent a dog from developing bloody diarrhea is to make slow food transitions, keep foreign objects and toxins that it may consume out of its reach, monitor its stress level, feed appropriate foods, use intestinal parasite preventatives, and have regular check-ups with a veterinarian.

Treatment Options

Treatment Options (blood in dog stool)

Treatment Options

The treatment for this depends on the cause:

If the blood and mucus are not a result of prolonged illness and merely a result of a night of eating garbage, your veterinarian may recommend a special diet for a few days and medication. Medications can be prescribed if parasites are the cause to deworm your dog and discuss how to safely clean up the environment to prevent reinfection. Hospitalization may be required if there is a viral infection like parvovirus since it is life-threatening. Intravenous fluids, antibiotics (for secondary infections) and additional medications might be required to control pain and vomiting.

Emergency surgery is usually indicated for foreign body obstructions as they are also deadly.

Dietary Treatment

Homemade Dog Treats

Homemade Dog Treats

The vet may suggest changing the diet, switching to a highly digestible diet or adding additional fiber to the diet will help dogs with mucus in the stool. Boiled white meat chicken (no skin or bones), white rice, and a teaspoon to a tablespoon (depending on the size of the dog) of canned pumpkin is a good, homemade option that can be safely fed for a few days.

Dogs are loveable creatures as they love you back also and are always happy when you come back home. Their adorable faces and happy go lucky attitudes fill our lives with such joy. You must always take care of your pet’s health and see a vet as soon as you find anything different and suspicious.

Conclusion

Dogs, the most loyal beings, man’s best friend are the most amazing creatures to be around. They are those selfless creatures who give us companionship in all moods and emotions. If you are happy, your dog will jump along with joy. If you are sad, he also becomes sad. You can have a discussion about your entire day and narrate all your happy and sad stories and you’ll never feel like you are talking to someone who cannot speak because all their barks and moans make you feel that they understand what you are up to and want to say.

Birthdays are important occasions in people’s lives and gifts are a mandatory part of it. Now we often get confused between materialistic gifts and handmade stuff. No matter whether the person stays with you or not but the memories and wishes always remain. A DIY birthday card is, therefore, the best gift for a person. You get a source to reminisce about your good old times. Personally speaking, I have preserved all the cards I have received till now.

Generally, we have a lot of craze during school times to do this creative and artistic stuff for our friends and teachers and generally lose interest as we grow old. Dog Adoption in United States – The Complete Process https://bookmypainting.com/blog/dog-adoption/ https://bookmypainting.com/blog/dog-adoption/#respond Mon, 13 Apr 2020 18:34:48 +0000 https://bookmypainting.com/?p=156262

Usually, the most difficult or most challenging part of adopting a dog is the adoption process. The process is pretty easy once you get to know what to expect. If you are one of those individuals who think that the dog adoption process is too tedious, or that there would be very expensive fees then you’re not alone. But don’t worry, we have come up with this article to set the records straight once and for all!

Adopting a dog is a great feeling

Adopting a dog is a great feeling

Firstly, when trying to choose where to get a pet from, convenience should be the main criteria. This is to be done because both buying and adopting comes with a set of pet statistics, advantages and disadvantages. When everything is in, buying a creature is no simpler than deciding to embrace. Read below and find out more about the adoption process!

What’s the process?

Regardless of where you go, embracing a pet from a dog adoption center or an animal rescue usually comprises of 4 fundamental advances. The steps are:

  • Filling up the adoption questionnaire
  • Having a meeting with a haven or rescue representative
  • Attending the meet and greet, and
  • Finalizing the adoption

The animal reception steps referenced above are not unchangeable. A few offices and associations may have an extra advance or two, for example, a personal investigation or a home visit.  Just as the number of steps involved is not the same for every facility, the order of the steps can also vary greatly. For in some shelters, you may be allowed to meet available animals before you provide your details. While in some rescues, the volunteers may want to screen your eligibility first before you meet the available pets.

In the following paragraphs, we’ll provide you a more detailed brief on each of the 4 steps of the dog adoption process, plus 2 additional ones. Simply read on and appreciate the creature’s adoption ride!

Filling out the Dog Adoption Questionnaire

Filling Questionnaire

Filling Questionnaire

You may think that filling out the dog adoption questionnaire is too time-consuming and too intrusive. Especially, when you’re not sure if you will be able to find a pet or animal that you’ll take home with you. There may be some questions that may be a little uncomfortable to answer. But filling in at least some important details like your name, living situation, age, and address allows shelters and volunteers to check their records if you have previously adopted a pet from them.

  • When coming into the facility to fill out the dog adoption questionnaire, make sure to bring in at least two valid IDs. This might be needed depending on their dog adoption procedure protocol.
  • You can also request to complete the questionnaire at a later date or simply fill in the parts which are required to save time.

A friendly note: Lying isn’t an alternative when rounding out the selection survey. Try not to state whatever you don’t have.  Since the subtleties you give would help the shelter volunteers and shelter staff prescribes a good pet for you.

Acing the Interview

Acing the Interview

Acing the Interview

Woohoo! It’s the interview!

Once the shelter or rescue has scheduled you for an interview, consider yourself one step closer to coming home with your new lovable family member! They can also decide to do an interview right then and thereafter you filled out the dog adoption questionnaire

In this step, the reception advocate will decide your appropriateness for the sort or type of creature you might be keen on. There are times when the meeting is part of the meet and greet process, so the advocate can perceive how you associate with the creature. They also help furthermore by answering questions on the off chance that you have any.

Do not feel pressured to be perfect. Keep in mind, each progression of the reception procedure is set up to assist you with finding the ideal pet for the perfectly blemished you!

The Meet and Greet

Meet & Greet

Meet & Greet

A meet and greet are required if the adopter has another dog currently in the home. The meet and greet would happen either at the shelter or at your place. If you were put on the spot to go for a meet and greet when you dropped by your local shelter or rescue, then just take note of the following:

  • You should prepare a set of questions and use this time as an opportunity to ask questions about the animal(s) you may be interested in.
  • You have to be prepared to take plenty of notes as you’ll be asking questions.
  • Be respectful of shelter staff and rescue volunteers. They may not have enough time to answer all your questions.
  • Relax and just be you. You would want the animals to like you and not be afraid of you.
  • Be nice to the animals. If you’re unsure to approach one in a friendly manner then ask a volunteer or staff to introduce you.
  • And of course, don’t beat yourself up if you don’t find a pet or animal you’d love to go home with.

There is never a 100% success rate, but these meetings on the neutral ground are an effective way of gauging the animal’s reactions.

The Background Check

Background Check

Background Check

The shelters and rescues just won’t let an animal hop in with a stranger and that’s why they perform some sort of background check. Some facilities may also ask for character references. It is to consider, that all this is just a part of the protocol and should not be taken something personal.

The shelter or rescue does this to guarantee that they don’t inadvertently give a creature to a known basic entitlements wrongdoer. This also helps them to ensure that they don’t permit somebody who doesn’t have the way to receive an extremely high support pet. To grasp the record verification, it’s beneficial for you!

The Home Visit and Ocular Inspection

Depending on the shelter or rescue and type of animal you’re planning to adopt, the dog adoption process may involve an ocular inspection and a home visit. This step is different from the background check.

A few people may find the home visit excessively nosy and may do without receiving from salvage or haven which requires this. Adopting a new family member means making space in your home, making room in your heart, and setting aside some time for the pet. If an ocular inspection or a home visit is a lot for you, you might need to rethink it. You should also think about the situation that you are in reality prepared to give another animal access to your life.

Some of the steps or procedures in the ocular inspection are:

Veterinarian Verification

If the potential adopters currently have other animals in the home, then a vet is called to verify that the animal is altered and up-to-date. Certain requirements are DA2PP & Rabies for a dog and FVRCP & Rabies for a cat.

Family Meet and Greet

This is a highly recommended step and all the family members must be present to meet the new animal being chosen. This is to ensure that the selected animal is the appropriate fit for the future family’s lifestyle and all family members.

Landlord Verification

If the potential adopter rents their home/apartment then the landlord must be contacted. It is for the verification that they can have an animal in their home/apartment.

Age Requirement

All potential adopters must be over 21 years of age. If they live with their parents, the parents must be contacted during the dog adoption process to ensure they are allowing a pet into their home.

Take the visual review and home visit as positive parts of the dog adoption! Use this as an actual time to ask the shelter staff or the rescue volunteer what you should do to prepare your home. If they feel that you care and want the animal to feel comfortable then that can be a bonus point for you!

Finalizing the Adoption

Finalizing the Adoption

Finalizing the Adoption

This is it! You’ve gone through all the other steps and the only thing that’s left is to finalize the dog adoption! This seriously calls for a celebration!

Setting our excitement aside, concluding the selection has its arrangement of entanglements and confusion. Adopting an animal is not free and the adoption fee is considered by many as too expensive (it’s NOT, considering everything).

  • When you’ve discovered your new animal child and everything has been esteemed to conclude everything, the following activity is administrative work.
  • Receiving a creature implies you are assuming liability for that creature’s prosperity and activities. It is an agreement, and indeed, contracts accompany desk work and charges!
  • The fees are not that much. On average, it may range between $20 to $500 depending upon the kind of animal you’ll be adopting, the breed, age, history, and other factors.
  • The reception charges are an unimportant portion of the absolute expense for all the beneficial things you will get for nothing.

So how would we seal the dog adoption process? Just pay the expenses, sign everything which should be marked and set a date to get the creature if you may require more time to set up your home or where the creature might be remaining.

Conclusion

Nowadays, future animal parents are wary of adopting from shelters and rescues because of misconceptions surrounding the actual process of animal adoption. This way of reasoning has prompted individuals to decide to purchase at pet shops. What’s more regrettable? They go to irresponsible breeders and animal traders just to make the way toward getting a pet significantly simpler. But is deciding to purchase a creature simpler or less expensive than embracing?

Being a good dog parent starts with going through the dog adoption process right. We hope that this guide will help you in bringing you an adorable pet child home.
