Hi CLove! I think it is great you are talking about going through this together...I just wrote yesterday about some of my favorite books and most of are not only written by doctors, but they are written by doctors who HAVE multiple sclerosis...and what they found that worked for them is fascinating IMHO...Link to my post should be attached to this comment.

I found your blog google-ing GAPS and MS. My friend has MS (since we were 21, 35 now)and she has deteriorated quite a bit. She's been uninterested in anything that doesn't come from her dr, but recently I got the impression that she might be willing to try something to get the bowel movements moving. I then heard a theory that MS is related to leaky gut, then looking at leaky gut, I heard of GAPS and a healing method. If the info is good then the logic should follow. I figure she and I can work on healing our guts together and we'll see if it helps with any of her disability.

Good luck, I'll be back to check on your up dates.

HELLO, I just signed up for this, so I am new. I am not taking any of the meds., although I am doing LDN (low dose naltrexone). I don't believe or trust the meds. Has anyone ever heard of it?

I just happened on your article when I googled Paleo & MS. I have been eating a mostly Paleo diet for a year now and my MS has been recategorized to benign, stable. I am down to taking Copaxone just twice a week and may eventually be able to come off of it. I have more energy than ever since my MS diagnosis and fatigue has been my predominant symptom. At one point I took Amantadine for the fatigue but that caused a very serious side effect which fortunately resolved when I stopped the medication. I can't say enough about the improvements I have seen since going Paleo. I was diagnosed in 1994 and had to stop playing tennis due to the fatigue. After going Paleo, I have now returned to playing competitive tennis and couldn't be happier with my health.

Hi truly fantastic website you have made. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did wish to publish a remark to let you know that the design of this website is very aesthetically pleasing. I utilized to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a merchandising firm. I've always enjoyed functioning with info processing systems and am trying to understand computer code in my totally free time (which there's never enough of lol).

I will not be getting a flu shot either. i have only had 2 flu shots in my entire life and both times I had a massive exacerbation (the first one started me on the road to testing for and eventually getting diagnosed with MS).
